The newest Zombie Art of the day is coming at you now on Zombie Daily! We needed to take a break from the Super Smash Bros of the Living Dead week long Extravaganza yesterday to pay tribute to Both Chyna, and even more surprisingly, Prince. They were each honored with their own Zombie Portrait and both were posted yesterday right here on Zombie Daily. A sad day indeed..In fact, I’m still rather shaken by Princes’ death, not trying to diminish Chynas’ passing, but I suppose I was just closer to Prince as a performer. Life must go on however and so must Zombie Daily!
Today is a big one! The venerable Donkey Kong himself, now full Zombie! Doing this Zombie Art series is proving to be a lot of fun! In fact, I’m hoping to do ALL of the Super Smash Bothers characters as Zombies!
For a brief description of the origins of Donkey Kong and the character, I consulted good old Wikipedia! Here’s the rundown :

Donkey Kong Country
Mario vs. Donkey Kong
Donkey Kong (ドンキーコング Donkī Kongu?, [dõŋ.kiː kõŋ.ɡu͍]) is a series of video games featuring the adventures of a gorilla character called Donkey Kong, conceived by Shigeru Miyamoto in 1981. The franchise mainly comprises two different game genres, plus spin-off titles of various genres.
The games of the first genre are mostly single-screen platform/action puzzle types, featuring Donkey Kong as the opponent in an industrial construction setting. Donkey Kong first made his appearance in the 1981 arcade machine called Donkey Kong, in which he faced Mario, now Nintendo’s flagship character. This game was also the first appearance of Mario, pre-dating the well-known Super Mario Bros. by four years. In 1994, the series was revived as the Donkey Kong Country series, featuring Donkey Kong and his clan as protagonists in their native jungle setting versus a variety of anthropomorphic enemies, usually against theKremlings, a clan of crocodiles, and their leader King K. Rool. These are side-scrolling platform games.
A hallmark of the Donkey Kong series are barrels, which the Kongs use as weapons, vehicles, furniture, and lodging. The Donkey Kong character is highly recognizable and very popular; the franchise has sold over 40 million units worldwide.
